A weirdly mesmerising video from the hat-loving troubadour
We really need to talk about the new James Bay video.
Firstly, some context. James Bay‘s new single is called Best Fake Smile, and it really is a very good song. It’s about a woman who doesn’t really like her job in a bar, so she decides to walk out.
Pretty simple, right?
We’d say so too. A fairly easy song to make a video for, surely? Get a pub, some peanuts, a load of drunks, and a pissed-off barmaid, and you’re pretty much set.
No way. That would be FAR too simple. Instead, James and his team decided to throw a party in a garage, add a load of psych-rave lighting, and throw a disco ball in there for good measure. Let’s see how things panned out:
