Start writing the second album.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened to you on tour?

The weirdest but greatest thing was getting a girl up on stage to sing Nightbus with me in Boston and she cracked out some amazing harmonies.

Who were your main musical influences growing up?

Growing up I mainly listened to the radio. My mum loves Barry White and my dad loves Phil Collins.

Which song do you wish you had written?

I’ll Get By – Shirley Bassey.

Have you got any advice for new artists starting off at the moment?

I’m all about open mics, I love them.

The Maccabees album Given To The Wild and Feist’s album Metals.

You’ve supported many great bands – which tour did you have the most fun on?

The last tour I just did with Bombay Bicycle Club around America and Canada was definitely the funniest tour I’ve been on.

Describe yourself in three words?

Many smile lines…
