PVRIS Unveil Their Brand New Single

A superbly infectious offering from the melodic-rock masters

The new PVRIS single is called ‘You and I‘ and we like it a lot. It’s fair to say that it differs slightly from the band’s previous releases, but that’s not a bad thing; it’s clearly evident that the trio’s sound has evolved and matured since the release of 2014’s White Noise, yet they’ve still managed to retain their ever-so-distinguishable brand of darkly melodic pop-infused rock.

From the opening’s ghostly whisperings until the explosive chorus erupts into the ears of the listener (complete with the ever-so-cheerful words ‘we can meet in the middle, bodies and souls collide // dance in the moonlight, when all the stars align’), ‘You and I’ seems to have been perfectly designed to send shivers down the listener’s spine. A special mention must go to singer Lynn Gunn, whose incredible vocal range both drives the song along and pulls it all together into a neat package of melodic alt-rock.

It’s a powerful track, and like all PVRIS’ past releases, it’s just effortlessly cool. A definite must-listen, and one we can’t recommend highly enough.
