We think she’s great, which is why we asked her to put together a playlist of her favourite songs, exclusively for you lovely lot. Here’s Pi Ja telling you why she chose a few of the tracks:

The Kinks – A Well Respected Man

‘This song is in the movie Juno, which is one of my favourite movies. I discovered The Kinks when I was 16, and I’ve loved them ever since.

Serge Gainsbourg – L’eau à la bouche

‘I think the first song I ever sang was a Serge Gainsbourg song. This one’s my favourite, but I love the entirety of the Melody Nelson album.

Urge Overkill – Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon

‘This song will forever be connected to the famous Pulp Fiction scene with Uma Thurman. She’s dancing alone, she’s sexy, and she’s playing air guitar, and the song is talking about a girl who will soon be a woman… It’s kind of reminding me of someone?

The Doors – The End

‘Every time I listen to this song, I feel like fresh air is going through my body. It is magic and I’m so happy it exists.

The Rolling Stones – Play With Fire

‘This song is in Wes Anderson’s Darjeeling Limited, and that movie reminds me of my own family. The whole soundtrack is amazing, but this song is the best.
