We’re not going to pretend that 2016 was a great year. Heck, we’re not even going to say that it was a good one; all our favourite singers died, we all got spooked out by crazy clowns, and Donald Trump was elected President of the United States of America.
Still, it wasn’t all doom and gloom.
As it happens, 2016 was actually a pretty great year for new music. We had high-profile returns from the likes of Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as a bunch of great new songs from guys like Twin Atlantic, PROSE, The 1975, and Charli XCX.
