Indie Boys Bare Traps Have Made You A Playlist Of Their Favourite Tunes And It’s Amazing

They’ve got great taste in tunes

We really like Bare Traps. They make funky indie music that you can dance to, and we don’t think that there’s anything better than that. This is their new single: it’s called All In You, and it’s ace:

That’s not bad at all, is it

We happen to think that it’s pretty flipping good. Now, if we know one thing, it’s that bands who make great music tend to have pretty great taste in music themselves. That’s why we asked Bare Traps to put together a little playlist of their favourite songs, exclusively for the lovely readers of One on One.

You can find their full playlist at the bottom of the page. For now, here’s Bare Traps telling you a bit about a few of the songs they chose:

Jai Paul – Jasmine

‘We were all mesmerised the first time we heard this track – it’s just so immersive. Not only is this one of the sexiest songs we’ve ever heard, the production is highly intelligent and original. Pure inspiration.

James Blake – Retrograde

‘The falsetto and melody are just out of this world! The chords and the line ‘suddenly I’m hit’ that mark the start of the chorus are totally transcendental. Interstellar in fact – they take you to another planet. Such a good record!

Bon Iver – Holocene

‘Holocene is a prime example of Justin Vernon‘s incredible work. Beautiful melodic guitars combined with his passionate falsetto make this track a firm favourite of ours.

The Streets – Blinded By The Lights

‘It’s so reminiscent of big nights out that have ended up going a bit Pete Tong. The synth, bass-line, and beat are so euphoric, but combined with the lyrics they morph into something much more sinister. It’s a really clever record and one most young people can relate to. It’s one that always gets put on after a heavy session.

Michael Jackon – Dirty Diana

‘Quite simple the King of pop at his bad-ass finest. MJ’s grittier tunes are his best in our opinion, and this is his without doubt his grittiest – so much attitude! He will truly forever be the greatest.
